Bergwaldprojekt e.V.
The Bergwaldprojekt is a non-profit organization that has been working with thousands of volunteers nationwide for 35 years to protect, preserve and restore ecosystems. Since then, more than six million trees have been planted in Germany, thousands of hectares of forest and biotopes have been maintained, protection forests have been restored, many torrents have been renaturalized and dozens of raised bogs have been rewetted. The actions are free of charge for participants.

Funding
The association is mainly financed by company cooperations and donations from private individuals.
Objectives
The purpose of the association is the protection, preservation and restoration of ecosystems, the promotion of awareness of the connection with nature and its irreplaceability as well as the active participation in shaping the socio-ecological transformation in society.
