BARBER ANGELS BROTHERHOOD e.V.
In November 2016, Claus Niedermaier, a hairdresser from Biberach an der Riß, Germany, founded an association with ten friends to help homeless and people in need get their hair cut, rebuild their dignity and self-esteem and create a visual fusion. In the meantime, this basic idea has grown into a community, an association with over 600 active Barber Angels who do good in six European countries (Germany, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, the Netherlands and now also in Greece), as well as in two South American countries (Chile and Colombia), South Africa and, most recently, in the USA.
We are the Hanover chapter and regularly cut hair and beards at Caritas, DüK and the Nachtcafé. Our guests are as diverse as we are (we're not talking about customers!!!).
Anyone can join us - whether as an organizing angel, a photographer or a hairdresser. We look forward to everyone who wants to join us. Either as a one-off "guest angel" or as a permanent member of the worldwide community.

We are financed by membership fees and donations. We are officially a non-profit association.
Objectives
Our aim is to give dignity back to people who, for whatever reason, are on the margins of society by cutting their hair and beard. It often happens that our guests see themselves in the mirror for the first time in years, this moment is worth "gold" and cannot be paid for with anything in the world.
Your support helps
You can support us in many ways:
- You have a talent for organizing - perfect, there are always things that need to be planned.
- Your hobby or profession is photography - great! We always record our missions in pictures or sound.
- You're a hairdresser - hooray! Experience how you can use your craft to make a direct difference to someone who has nothing.
By the way, we also welcome hairdressing trainees, as they usually need a lot of practical experience. You can gain this with us. And our master hairdressers will be happy to answer any questions you may have!
