Dogs of Ella is a non-profit animal welfare project with structures in Sri Lanka and Germany.
In Sri Lanka, we run a small, donation-financed animal shelter for rescued street dogs, which we coordinate and finance together via our German association Dogs of Ella e. V.
The project is managed by the same team - across national borders.

About Dogs of Ella e.V.
Target group(s)
People who are interested in animal welfare, global justice, compassion for animals in need and sustainable commitment. In Germany, our volunteer work is particularly aimed at people with creative, organizational or communication skills who would like to get involved behind the scenes.

Funding
Dogs of Ella e. V. is 100% funded by donations. We do not receive any state subsidies. Our funds come from individual private donations, grant applications and sponsorships.
Objectives
We want to improve the lives of street dogs in Sri Lanka in the long term - through care, medical care, neutering and education. In Germany, we ensure financial stability, visibility and structural support for the project on the ground.
