Funding

We are largely financed by donations and project-related funding from foundations. We generate a smaller proportion of our funding through commissions in the areas of garden design, workshops and process support.

Objectives

Our goals correlate with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN in 2015. We attach particular importance to
  • reducing CO2 emissions in the city and its immediate surroundings
  • improving the urban climate and urban quality of life
  • local, regenerative and biodiversity-promoting food production and
  • the opportunity for all citizens to participate in directly effective creative processes.
Our charitable purposes are in accordance with our statutes:
Promotion of youth welfare; promotion of care for the elderly; promotion of art and culture; promotion of education and vocational training, including student aid; promotion of nature conservation and landscape conservation; promotion of environmental protection, including climate protection; promotion of coastal protection and flood protection; promotion of international sentiment, tolerance in all areas of culture and international understanding; promotion of local beautification; promotion of animal breeding; promotion of plant breeding; promotion of allotment gardening; promotion of civic engagement.
