DASH Deutschland Tierschutz Kalamata e.V. supports one of the largest rescue centers for street dogs in Greece. We give dogs in need a home, medical care and love - and fight against the suffering on the streets in the long term through education and castration programs.

Objectives
- We are trying to encourage the authorities of the city of Kalamata and other authorities in the region to fulfill their legal duty to enforce the new animal welfare regulations.
- We encourage the authorities to take additional voluntary animal welfare measures.
- We seek to raise public awareness of the plight of stray and abused animals and provide information on all animal welfare issues.
- We try to help treat and care for animals in need, find homes for them and try to humanely reduce the large number of strays through a sterilization program.
- We keep in contact with members of the veterinary profession to encourage their willingness to provide medical care and, where necessary, neutering of strays.
- We seek contact with private animal welfare initiatives in order to promote the creation of further, even small, contact points.
- We offer our help in the search for lost animals.
