Cologne's volunteer agency was founded in 1997 by committed citizens of Cologne. Today we are an important development agency for citizen engagement in the city. We are open to all motives, fields of action and forms of civic engagement as far as human dignity and democratic principles are concerned. Our commitment is non-denominational and partisan neutral. We appeal to people from all age groups and social strata in order to win them over to do good for the society. The commitment should continue to increase because, as a special form of social participation, it has a positive impact on urban life in many ways.
