Waldkindergarten Wurzelzwerge e.V.

Our target group are children from 2.5 years to school age for our forest kindergarten.
But school children up to the age of 12 for forest projects.

Our kindergarten is financed by the Free State of Bavaria and the town of Schrobenhausen through BayKiBiG funding.
We also receive donations from many parents and families.

🌲 Our goals as a forest kindergarten

As a non-profit association, we are committed to providing children with a natural, holistic and sustainable start in life.

1. Education close to nature

We promote direct encounters with nature as a central learning and experience space. Children develop a deep understanding of ecological relationships and a responsible approach to their environment.

2. Strengthening personal development

Through free play in the forest, we strengthen self-confidence, creativity, personal responsibility and problem-solving skills. The children learn to master challenges independently.

3. Social skills and community

In a mixed-age group, we promote empathy, consideration and teamwork. Community action is at the heart of our educational concept.

4. Holistic health

Exercise in the fresh air in all weathers strengthens the immune system, motor skills and ability to concentrate. Experiencing nature also promotes mental balance.

5. Sustainability and future awareness

We teach values such as mindfulness, resource conservation and sustainable thinking - as a basis for responsible action in a changing world.
