Deutsches Rotes Kreuz - Ortsverein Waldenbuch e.V.
Local association of the German Red Cross in the Schönbuch town of Waldenbuch in the district of Böblingen. We are involved in local emergency response, disaster control in the state of Baden-Württemberg, youth work, social work, blood donation events and public first aid courses. Objectives
Our voluntary work in and around Waldenbuch is based on the international principles of the Red Cross:
- Local emergency response & disaster control: Ensuring operational capability in the event of major emergencies by qualified units in accordance with the principle of humanity (relief of distress).
- Helpers on site (HvO): Bridging the therapy-free interval until the arrival of the rescue service - a direct implementation of impartiality (help solely according to the degree of need).
- Youth Red Cross (JRK): Teaching young people values such as neutrality and unity in order to enable them to act responsibly in society.
- Blood donation: Organization and implementation of appointments as an expression of universality; local aid that supports the national health system.
- Social work: Targeted support for vulnerable groups on the ground, supported by the voluntary work of members and without any profit motive.
