Nightbank is an innovative platform that combines crowdfunding, hospitality networks and development aid. The platform allows tourists to find a place to sleep (e.g. a couch or room in an apartment). This accommodation is donated by the apartment owner to Nightbank for a limited period of time. In return, the tourist makes a donation to the Nightbank platform. Nightbank uses this money to support local civic initiatives or development projects. The aim is to give tourists the opportunity to contribute to the microfinancing of small local civic initiatives or development aid projects.
