BaseMent e.V. is a non-profit organization from Erfurt that has been supporting children and young people through voluntary mentoring and promoting equal opportunities since 2011. We bring young people together with mentors who are simply there as confidants - without any pedagogical training.

Children and young people in Erfurt who are looking for a reliable confidant - often from educationally disadvantaged or socially disadvantaged families. As well as committed adults of all ages and backgrounds who would like to act as a mentor.

Funding
BaseMent e.V. is financed entirely by donations and funding. All members work on a voluntary basis - 100% of the funds flow directly into the work with the mentees.
Objectives
We promote equal opportunities and educational equality in Erfurt by bringing children and young people together with volunteer mentors. The goal is a reliable, long-term relationship - as a friendship, not as tutoring.
