Kitchen on the Run / Über den Tellerrand e.V.

Kitchen on the Run is the mobile integration incubator of Über den Tellerrand e.V. We promote personal exchange between people with and without refugee experience and enable them to get to know each other at eye level. With a kitchen built into a shipping container, we travel to small German towns under the motto: Next Stop: Home. We stay in each town for 7 weeks and invite the local people to meet at the kitchen table. To this end, we organize cooking evenings and community events where people with and without refugee experience share their favourite recipes, tell personal stories and start friendships in a homely atmosphere. During our stay, we promote the development of a community of people with and without refugee experience and, when we leave, we include them in our large network, which already consists of over 30 satellite towns.
