Objectives

Our goal is to maintain and improve the social and professional status of blind and visually impaired people and to support the conditions that enable them to shape their lives independently and self-determined. We consist of 20 regional associations in which around 36,000 blind and visually impaired members are involved. The topic of blindness and visual impairment is a cross-cutting issue, which is why we, as a federal association, are involved in many areas of social life, such as: profession and work, medical rehabilitation, accessibility in all areas of life, culture and media, sport, education and training, security and mobility in public spaces, development aid.
