Jobbrücke Inklusion

We are a Berlin-wide project that promotes the professional integration/rehabilitation of people with disabilities. For us, disability is not an individual phenomenon but a lack of sensitivity of social subsystems for the variety of human life. With our project we increase the participation of people with disabilities in the labour market. This is achieved by individual 1:1 support from volunteer mentors. After the targeted arrangement between the job-seeking people with disabilities and the volunteers, the joint work on the agreed goals in the mentoring begins. The participants of the project bring in the topics they wish to be supported in, and the mentors accompany the job-seekers in working out solutions. The mentorships are characterised by the attitude "help for self-help". All mentorships are accompanied and supported by the project coordinator, the volunteer mentors receive further training through workshops and regular supervision.
