No more doom and gloom! We are an idea platform for an open society, bringing action to the streets and into the digital realm.
We are tired of the ways in which politics and society are often discussed. We are fatigued by outrage culture and the current doomsday mood. We are disappointed with the lack of new ideas and political will,and shocked by the lack of empathy. We are keen! Keen to find out what really moves people. Keen to listen, keen to go deeper. We want good arguments and genuine contact. We yearn for an open society with fresh ideas, that dares to venture into new territories and improves what needs to be improved.
Who we are:
As a platform we bring together people who have ideas for an open society and who want to take action: Private individuals, action groups, alliances and institutions. For freedom, for encounters, for a vibrant democracy!

Objectives
- Neues starten: Als Initiative verwirklichen wir mit vielen Partnerinnen und Partnern immer wieder neue Ideen im Sinne einer offenen Gesellschaft – vom Utopie-Magazin „Was wäre wenn“ (Start Mitte April 2019) bis zur offenen Gesellschaft in Bewegung mit Debatten und Kunstaktionen in 15 Städten und Orten.
- Gemeinsame Sache machen: Als Initiative bringen wir die Freundinnen und Freunde der offenen Gesellschaft zusammen – vom Studenten bis zur Rentnerin (Jetzt anfreunden). Und wir rufen auf, gemeinsam in Aktion zu treten, ob bei Demos wie #unteilbar oder am jährlichen Tag der offenen Gesellschaft, wenn Zehntausende mit Tischen und Picknicks im ganzen Land die Demokratie feiern (Jetzt Tisch anmelden).
- Sichtbarmachen: Wir zeigen, wie groß das zivilgesellschaftliche Engagement ist. Online und offline bieten wir hunderten Aktiven, Gruppen und Organisationen eine Bühne, die etwas für eine offene Gesellschaft tun (Aktion finden oder anmelden).
- Unterstützen: Wir helfen Engagierten und denen, die es werden wollen. Wir teilen unsere Erfahrung mit Aktionsformaten, bieten Tipps und Material. Kontakt: freunde(at)die-offene-gesellschaft.de
