BUKO Pharma-Kampagne/Gesundheit und Dritte Welt e.V.

For over 35 years, the BUKO Pharma-Kampagne has been committed to improving health worldwide and to fair access to medicines. The guiding principle of our work is the human right to health, healthy living conditions and good health care. With our projects, campaigns and actions we want to contribute to the enforcement of these rights. But medicines alone do not make people healthier. It is primarily poverty that makes people ill. This is why we also address the negative consequences of economic globalisation and are committed to structural change.

We are globally networked, we create educational materials, we do advocacy work and we make theatre. Every year we train a group of volunteers in the techniques of political street theatre, jointly produce a 20-minute play on a global health problem and organise a two-week street theatre tour.
