Objectives
Our local social services staff help people to help themselves. They support the people living in our shelters in arriving in Berlin and building an independent life in Germany.
They provide support in the search for daycare and school places, provide orientation in the Berlin administrative landscape and in the healthcare system and initiate access to support systems and counseling services. They also help, for example, to find a suitable German or integration course or suitable qualification measures, training or work.
Our educators offer needs-based services for minors and their parents as part of our work with children and young people.
An important part of our work is our collaboration with external cooperation partners, local social institutions and individual volunteers. This is coordinated by our employees on site. The resulting contacts help the people living with us to build lasting social relationships and "arrive" in the social environment.
