Studenten bilden Schüler e. V. (SbS) is a non-profit association that organises free tutoring for children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by volunteer students. The association has been in existence since 2012 and is active in over 45 cities with over 1800 volunteer students nationwide. In addition to tutoring, the association organises cultural and recreational activities for students and helps finance teaching and learning materials.

Our association is characterised by low administrative costs - without paid employees or large offices. The use of tutoring does not involve any costs for the families of the children and young people or for social partners. For this reason, Studenten bilden Schüler e.V. is dependent on your support. Your help therefore arrives directly on site to improve the tutoring services or is used for the nationwide association work of the project.

The non-profit association Studenten bilden Schüler e.V. is an initiative run by volunteer students.
By providing free tutoring for children and young people from educationally disadvantaged and low-income families, we enable more equal opportunities in the education system.
Our focus is on individual tuition and the promotion of independent learning.

Most of them start with tutoring and thus become familiar with our work processes step by step. How much time you invest is entirely up to you.
If you are already a tutor, you enjoy your work and you would like to get more involved, there is the possibility
to become active. The management of the locations is divided into the areas of students, pupils and advertising. As a member of the federal board you would have the chance and responsibility to advance the development of the whole association.
We are always looking for new talent and offer you the opportunity to learn leadership skills and effective teamwork in an uncomplicated environment.
