Power-Child e.V.

Strong and self-confident children who grow up in safety, young people who draw their boundaries and go their way with self-confidence - that is the vision of Power-Child e.V. When children become victims of sexual assault, wounds arise which only heal with great difficulty. Estimates of the number of unreported cases are based on the assumption that there are up to 250,000 sexual assaults on children in Germany every year (estimate based on the crime statistics of the BKA). It is difficult for children to defend themselves against such attacks - but strong and self-confident children have the best chances in this context. Strengthening the weakest before something happens - that is the task of Power-Child e.V. Our children and young people live in a world in which sexual violence is omnipresent. Many find it difficult to talk about their fears, especially since the threat usually comes from their closest social environment - exactly where they should find help. Power-Child educates about the topic of "sexual violence" with a wide range of prevention projects and sensitizes children and young people to their own limits and encourages them to set them. The association offers counselling and therapy to those who are affected.
