Female leader for sewing group

A call from the Frauentreff Alt-Lichtenberg:

The Frauentreff Alt-Lichtenberg has been a place of encounter, togetherness, creativity and volunteer work for more than 15 years. All activities are organized both on a voluntary and full-time basis by women* for women* of different generations and socio-cultural contexts. We offer help and support in everyday life, general and social advice as well as individual help and referral to other experts and specialist agencies, as well as support in filling out official applications and individual correspondence when dealing with public authorities. We are the point of contact for everyday issues for women with migration experience, offers for single parents and their children in cooperation with the Network for Single Parents in Lichtenberg. We organize information and educational events on women-specific topics, language learning opportunities, language cafés and exchanges on educational paths and professional development opportunities, discussion groups on social issues and local developments. Women on the net - computer and internet use with individual help, exhibitions of hobby and professional artists, women's information center and book and media exchange, interest groups, sports groups, creative design and handicrafts especially for senior citizens, knitting and needlework groups, literature club, women's breakfast 65+ activities and participation, specialist day for single parents and Lichtenberg Women's Week, Long Night of Politics, Lichtenberg Volunteer Days, Berlin Senior Citizens' Week, Lichtenberg Social Days, etc. Open day, district festivals and celebrations on special occasions. Our facility is barrier-free. There is a ramp, but no wheelchair-accessible toilets. To volunteer with us, you only need a basic knowledge of the German language.

We would like to offer a sewing course for beginners and are looking for a female leader from April/May who has good sewing skills, has time once a week during the day and would be willing to lead this group in a relaxed manner. Sewing machines and all accessories are available. We can offer an expense allowance. We are a nice, friendly, small organization and would be happy to hear from you.
