About the volunteering opportunity
A volunteering offer for the shared accommodation for refugees on Konrad-Wolf-Straße
The shared accommodation for refugees in Konrad-Wolf-Straße near the Hohenschönhausen sports forum currently provides a home for around 400 people. It is run by the Berlin regional association of the Volkssolidarität. A total of 19 full-time employees take care of administration, social services and childcare, among other things.
However, volunteer support is also needed to enable the residents to integrate. Interested volunteers will find an international, friendly and committed team that cares about the residents.
There is also a dedicated volunteer coordinator who can be contacted personally for all matters relating to volunteering, such as insurance, volunteer allowances or the exchange of ideas for projects.

Your Tasks
Our social team would be happy to have a person who can translate Georgian-German.
There are many Georgian residents in our accommodation who need support in filling out important documents for the social welfare office, the job center, the LAF or the district office. They can provide us with valuable and meaningful support and help our Georgian residents a great deal.
The translations and meetings can also be carried out digitally.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Age: at least 16 years
- Certificate of good conduct: extended certificate of good conduct required (certificate of good conduct is paid for by the Volkssolidaritaet)
