About the volunteering opportunity
A volunteering offer for the "Diakonie Haltestellen" facility
Diakonie Haltestellen is an additional service to home care and provides support and orientation for people with dementia, mental, intellectual or somatic illnesses. Regular visiting services for people who live at home and local care in groups are just as much a part of the range of services as support for relatives.

Your Tasks
Diakonie Haltestelle offers people with a care degree and dementia in particular hourly support services for everyday life.
Volunteers provide support at home or care in a group. The service is a supplement to home care provided by family members, loved ones or outpatient care services. The volunteers are familiar with the special emotional needs of people with dementia and know how to respond to them. With their commitment, the volunteers want to maintain the quality of life of people with dementia and support and relieve family caregivers. The aim is to contribute to the well-being of the person with dementia and their relatives.
Volunteering includes activities in contact with the person in need of care, accompanying them on outings and providing care close to home in regular groups (e.g. card games, acrylic painting). No nursing activities are required.
