About the volunteering opportunity

You accompany people from the neighborhood when they visit their doctor or to appointments at the office if they need support.

The Stiftung Unionhilfswerk Berlin runs a neighborhood center at Zabel-Krüger-Damm 50 in the Rollberge-Siedlung. The location is ideal, as the district center is located directly in one of the two Sharoun houses and is therefore an immediate point of contact for many people in the area. The aim of the district center is to provide people from the neighborhood with a meeting place and to improve the social infrastructure of the area. For this reason, a wide range of creative, music and sports activities and much more take place on our premises. In addition, you can seek support from our various counseling services or find out more about a wide range of topics at our information events. In order to make our offer as diverse as possible, we are happy when people from the neighborhood contribute their ideas and offer their own courses or help. Your Tasks

  • You coordinate with the in-house social counselor to determine what needs exist
  • You accompany people reliably to their appointments and support them with any challenges that arise
  • You handle personal data confidentially

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
  • Good German and foreign language skills
  • Certificate of good conduct

Regularly
