About the volunteering opportunity

This year the Unicef greeting card team in Berlin is again looking for volunteers for the stand at the Christmas market at Potsdamer Platz in November/December. Your efforts will help children in need worldwide.

As the persons responsible for organizing the Christmas markets, we are turning to you.
Every year, the sale of greeting cards is a not inconsiderable contribution that benefits children in crisis areas. You can decide for yourself how much time you want to spend at the market. A one-off voluntary commitment is 3-4 hours at the sales stand. However, you can register as many assignments as you like.
The sale of greeting cards is an important source of income for the projects and the rapid aid that Unicef provides worldwide. As most other donations in Germany are "earmarked" and may only be used for the specified project.

Through your commitment to selling cards, you make it possible for Unicef to continue to help quickly in emergency situations worldwide. Thank you for that!

Your Tasks

  • You take over one or more shifts at the Christmas market
  • At the booth, you advise customers and sell UNICEF greeting cards and calendars
If you are interested in a longer-term commitment, UNICEF will support you with advice as well as a diverse training program that will deepen your experience and strengthen your skills.

Where?

UNICEF Arbeitsgruppe Berlin

UNICEF is the United Nations (UN) Children's Fund. Every child in the world has the right to a childhood - as a UNICEF group Berlin we help voluntarily that this right becomes reality. We inform about the situation of disadvantaged children worldwide and seek dialogue with the public - through talks, information stands, school visits or exhibitions. We sell the popular UNICEF greeting cards and collect donations with creative campaigns - an important contribution, because UNICEF is financed exclusively by voluntary contributions.
