About the volunteering opportunity
The Strassenfeger e.V. emergency shelter, where up to 31 homeless people can eat and sleep free of charge all year round, receives a donation of bread and cake every evening from the Steinecke bakery in Kaufland (Storkower Str. 139). This donation must be collected from Kaufland in the evening and brought to the emergency shelter to ensure that all guests are fed.
Your Tasks
We are URGENTLY looking for a volunteer to pick up these bread and cake donations and bring them to the emergency shelter (from 15.12.2024).

- Collecting the bread and cake donation from Kaufland (Storkower Str. 139) and transporting it to the emergency shelter (Storkower Str. 101a)
- Transportation by private car (with expense allowance) or with our cargo bike or handcart possible
- Times: Monday to Saturday (and on Sundays when shops are open) at approx. 7:30 pm
What we expect:
- a long-term and regular job (IMPORTANT), as it has to do with catering for our guests
- Reliability
- a driver's license for the car
Also possible for only a few days a week.

Strassenfeger e.V. has been helping homeless and poor people for over 25 years. The projects include a year-round emergency overnight stay for men and women, a weekly "social brunch" in the neighborhood store at Oderberger Str.12, the street magazine 'MAG', which is sold by homeless people (half of the proceeds go to the seller) and our 'social rental house' at Oderberger Str.12.
