About the volunteering opportunity
Berlin Lingua Hub is a dynamic initiative dedicated to promoting German language learning and cultural exchange in Berlin. Our main goal is to support the integration of migrants by offering regular language cafés where people from different backgrounds come together to practise German, learn about new cultures and make valuable friendships.
Your Tasks
Your tasks
For our project, we are looking for committed volunteers who would like to support us in creating learning materials for German learners. This includes the development of exercises, worksheets, conversation cards and creative materials for our language cafés and learning opportunities.
How can you help?
You can support us flexibly and creatively, for example
- creating exercises for different language levels
- developing conversation and vocabulary materials
- designing worksheets or small learning games
- collecting and structuring learning content
- or on site at our language cafés on Mondays/Wednesdays
Previous teaching experience is not essential. What is important is an interest in language, creativity and the motivation to support German learners.
What's needed
Volunteers must be native German speakers.
Language skills: At least B2 level in German (German as mother tongue is not a must). Very good level in English (at least C1 to get in contact with partnerships)
Organizational skills: Ability to plan and implement projects efficiently.
Strong communication skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Commitment: High motivation and willingness to invest 4-8 hours per week on a regular basis as agreed.
Ability to work in a team: Ability to work well in a team and promote a positive atmosphere.
