Volunteers needed for the library in the Zentrum am Zoo

the three "Bs" (advise, meet, educate) of the Zentrum am Zoo complement the work of the neighboring station mission and the hygiene center, offering a comprehensive new range of services. Those affected receive very specific and individual advice and support, and social awareness of the issue is raised. Encounters with cultural and spiritual offerings are possible at eye level.

Activities: You look after our library - sorting books, handing them out, reading aloud on request and supporting our guests in using the computer there (e.g. writing applications etc.) at fixed times.

Requirements: You must be at least 18 years old for this volunteer position. You have basic IT skills and patience and empathy in dealing with our guests affected by poverty and homelessness. language skills (English/Polish etc.) would be an advantage.

Time commitment: We would like a regular commitment, e.g. 1-2 times a week for approx. 2 hours.

When: We can agree on fixed times together. These should be Mon-Thu between 10.00 and 16.00.

Expected attitude: You are convinced that every person has an inalienable dignity. You have a respectful attitude towards the Christian faith and other religions and world views.
