About the volunteering opportunity
Supporting the elderly actors, some of whom suffer from dementia, in the PAPILLONS theater ensemble for the ongoing Theater-AG and for the 2025 musical theater production (with 11 actors from the "Am Kreuzberg" nursing home, nine children, six professional artists and volunteers)
Your Tasks
- Accompanying the elderly actors, some of whom suffer from dementia, from their room to the theater hall (on the ground floor = "F2 Theater im Pflegewohnheim")
- Coordination with the other volunteers
- Assistance in the costume wardrobe during final rehearsals and performances
- Presence at Theater AG, rehearsals and performances
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Professional experience in the care of the elderly
- Desire to participate in the creation of a theater production and to work in the costume wardrobe
- Desire for teamwork
- Ability to act responsibly
Time required
1x a week on Tuesdays 06:00-08:00 pm
if possible, also during rehearsals and performances (from the beginning of April to mid-July 2025, see below)
