About the volunteering opportunity

The Business Lab by SINGA is an online entrepreneurship program for people who are new in Germany and want to be accompanied on their way to self-employment through coaching, mentoring and application-oriented workshops.

We are looking for buddies for the various online workshops.
One round lasts 4 months.

**********
Together with us and our corporate partners, you will get to know the participants of the Business Lab by SINGA and exciting entrepreneurship methods. All you need to bring is an interest in the topic and your creativity!
**********

Your Tasks

As a buddy, you support the participants in dealing with questions and tasks during the workshops.
  • You are a sparring partner
  • You ask questions
  • You contribute your market opinion and experience
  • You can also share contacts with the participants

All workshops are led by experts and you can learn from them.
You can take part in one or more workshops (see below for more information on the topics).

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
  • We are especially looking for people from the Karlsruhe-Stuttgart region or the Ruhr area (Bochum), but the workshops will take place online and you can participate from anywhere in Germany.
  • Native speaker or at least C1 German
  • Business experience desired

Time required

Project-based
You choose which workshops you would like to take part in. The workshops take place on Wednesday evenings or Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm. You will be informed about the dates after you have registered.

Important notice

The topics of the workshops are as follows:

  • Idea lab: In the idea lab, you will get to know the motivated participants and their business ideas. Together, you will work out who potential customers are, what their needs are and what resources the participants need to implement their business idea.
  • Business model: The focus of this workshop is to work out with the participants what potential business models are for them and how they can test them as quickly and "leanly" as possible. Keywords: customer benefits, critical assumptions, planning customer interviews and prototype tests.
  • Storytelling: The workshop is all about arousing emotions! With your support, the participants in the "Storytelling" workshop will work out how they can communicate their business ideas in such a way that they arouse enthusiasm in their counterparts and are remembered.
  • Marketing and branding: In the workshop, we look at how and what the entrepreneurs want to communicate to whom in order to make their business ideas visible and accessible to their target groups. Together with you, as buddies, the participants will develop initial drafts for communication tools and measures.
  • Financial planning: This workshop is all about the figures for the business idea. You will work together with the participants to draw up an initial financial plan. In addition to living costs and operating costs, possible income and sources of financing are discussed and recorded with the help of examples and templates.
  • Pitch training: In this workshop, the aim is to bring to the point, with your support, what the entrepreneurs have developed and learned up to this point. In the pitch workshop, you will work together with the participants on presenting and communicating the story & vision of their business idea.
  • Presentation & slide design: In the workshop, we will look at how entrepreneurs can back up their pitch ideas with slides that are as meaningful as possible.

You can take part in one workshop or several.

Sound exciting? Send us a short message here via vostel.de!
Juliette will send you all the information about the dates and arrange an intro call.
