About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for committed support for our educational program at the initial reception facility at Tempelhof Airport. We would like to offer refugees the opportunity to improve their German language skills and are therefore looking for
A volunteer for German tutoring

Your Tasks
What we are looking for:
- A motivated person who enjoys teaching the German language
- Ideally someone who can devote time to this commitment on a regular basis
- Teaching experience is an advantage, but not a prerequisite

Important notice
An extended police clearance certificate is required for volunteer work with refugees. The costs for applying for the certificate of good conduct, as well as the application itself, are covered by the accommodation.

AWO/IB Unterkunft Flughafen Tempelhof
The Tempelhof Airport accommodation was put into operation on December 23, 2022 and is operated jointly by AWO Berlin-Mitte and the Internationaler Bund Berlin-Brandenburg. The accommodation is located in hangars 1, 2 and 3 of the former Tempelhof Airport and in parking lot 3. It offers space for a maximum of 1600 people.
