About the volunteering opportunity
Are you a beekeeper or do you have experience in beekeeping?
Our facility for people with intellectual and mental disabilities near Plötzensee (Wedding) is looking for a committed volunteer to take responsibility for our small beekeeping project. All the materials are already available - what we need is someone to lead the project and bring it back to life together with the residents and colleagues.
We already had bees in the past, but now we need fresh impetus and someone to put on the hat to take over the organization and care. Your regular support would not only provide the residents with an exciting task, but also give them a better understanding of nature and the bees' habitat.
The Joachim-Fahl-Haus special form of housing offers people with intellectual and psychological disabilities a home that is tailored to their individual needs. The specialist staff use a curative education approach to support the residents in their personal development.
