About the volunteering opportunity

With the School-Connect project, Edunovo e.V. is committed to strengthening future skills in schools in a practical and sustainable way. Our aim is to make students understand economic relationships at an early stage and prepare them for their professional future. With School-Connect, we bring our educational work directly into the classroom by connecting schools with experts from society, business and politics. This gives pupils authentic insights into the world of work, helps them discover new perspectives and develop future skills - all at no cost to your school.

We have developed two programs for this purpose:

1. FemLeaders:
A particular focus is on promoting young women in business. That is why we are expanding our program with special workshops for girls' schools led by female CEOs and managers. The focus is on topics such as the confidence gap, women in management positions, career opportunities in business and entrepreneurship. With these formats, we want to encourage young women to confidently shape their own career paths. In interactive workshops, FemLeaders creates spaces for exchange and empowerment. The aim is to encourage young women in particular to actively shape their future in a self-determined way.

2. businessClass:
A format that brings young people closer to the world of business. Through workshops, external speakers from local companies and exciting insights into practice, students learn about entrepreneurship, economic connections and important skills for the future.

Your Tasks

As part of the School Connect team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing the workshops for girls' schools. This includes communicating with schools and teachers to establish cooperation and integrate the workshops optimally into everyday school life.

A central part of your work is contacting speakers, including female CEOs, founders and managers, who share their experiences and serve as inspiring role models. You will also support the content design of the workshops by working with the team to prepare relevant topics and develop innovative learning formats.

Through your commitment, you will ensure that our workshops are successfully implemented and create sustainable added value for the participants.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
  • Interest in gender issues, the advancement of women and economic education - you want to actively contribute to better preparing young women for careers in business.
  • Organizational skills and an independent way of working - you can coordinate workshops, create schedules and network various stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills & openness to networking - You enjoy getting in touch with schools, teachers and female leaders and building collaborations.
  • Commitment & ability to work in a team - You enjoy working with others and can take on tasks independently.
  • (Optional) Experience in project management or education - Previous experience is a plus, but not essential. Much more important is your motivation!

Time required

Regularly
Approx. 2 hours per week.
Working in the School Connect team is flexible and can be easily combined with studies, training or other commitments. The time commitment is approx. 2-3 hours per week, although there may be more intensive phases before workshops or larger planning meetings. Most tasks can be completed remotely, with occasional coordination within the team and possible on-site appointments at schools.

Important notice

  • 📌 Flexible working: Most tasks can be completed regardless of location as long as agreements are adhered to.
  • 📌 Commitment with impact: Your work contributes to promoting equal opportunities in the economy and strengthening young women in their career orientation.
  • 📌 No prior knowledge necessary: Experience in education or event management is helpful, but not a must - motivation and interest count more!
  • 📌 Target group: This commitment is aimed at young people between the ages of 15 and 25 who want to get actively involved in education, women's empowerment and business education.
  • 📌 Opportunity to help shape the project: You have the chance to contribute your own ideas for workshop formats and content and actively participate in the further development of the project.
