Craft and painting work/ leisure activities

The facility here is a shared accommodation facility for refugees. In particular, there are currently six large families from Chechnya living here, all of whom have unfortunately completed their asylum procedures and are living under tolerated status. For every 32 people in the facility, there are 20 children aged between 2 and 18. However, the main clientele would be 5 to 10 children aged 8 to 14. The aim of the facility is to help the clients to help themselves, to support them in dealing with the authorities and making applications, to impart social know-how and to empower them. The aim is to ensure that the children at the facility can also lead a child-friendly life, far away from the existential fears and worries of their guardians.

This is a offer for children aged 8-14 years (preferably once a week, in the afternoon, approx. 2 hours). There are few limits for the volunteers. Past experience has shown that the children are very open to activities.
The play activities can include for example: Painting, handicrafts, leisure activities (e.g. visiting a youth club in the neighborhood), playing (in summer also outside in our backyard or in the park), sewing, embroidery, etc.
