Redesign of a Wordpress website

With youmocracy, we try to inspire young people to actively engage with socio-political issues and thus actively strengthen democracy. You will help us to make this work visible and allow the association to grow in line with the times. In the future, the website should not only be an attractively designed contact point for information about youmocracy, but also serve as a digital hub to connect our volunteers with each other, as well as with supporters and interested parties. You will therefore be actively involved in providing our large and diverse network with effective digital tools and thus ensuring the commitment of our volunteers in the future.

Over the past few months, we have developed a new concept for our website youmocracy.de, which we want to implement with your support! As a volunteer in the IT & Webtech team, you will work on a new Wordpress site, either as a front-end designer or as a back-end developer for specific functions (e.g. an interactive event map). You should have experience in working with Wordpress, but beyond that we don't expect the most blatant skills - it's more important to us that you have a desire to try things out and create! In exchange with us, you should not only implement our ideas, but also bring in your own ideas and test them directly.

for the project, we are looking for committed volunteers who already have experience in programming, especially in working with WordPress. As this is a large and challenging project, knowledge of web development and design is an advantage. We are looking for people who can contribute both technical understanding and creativity to design and develop an appealing and user-friendly website.

approx. 8-10 hours per month
We only meet once a month via Zoom for an update, otherwise you can organize your working hours flexibly. The two team leaders are of course always available for questions and interim meetings.
