Volunteer teaching in the accompanying program

Learning from and with each other as equals and helping people to help themselves are two of the goals of our support program. We offer support from the moment you arrive in Berlin through to your actual integration so that we can ensure your long-term inclusion in our society.

Do you have a good command of the German language and enjoy teaching it to others? Then we urgently need you for our language coaching services!

You are involved in the language café for parents with children, where a small group learns together, creating a community and an exciting intercultural exchange. The guests are supported in improving their language skills in informal everyday conversations.

Or you can get involved in one-to-one lessons, in which specific learning focuses in different subjects such as German, math, English, etc. are worked on. We are looking for volunteers who can teach our participants on a regular basis.

You are friendly and interested in intercultural exchange. We are looking for patient, understanding and culturally sensitive people, preferably with some experience in teaching learning content.

You are convinced that every person has an inalienable dignity. You have a respectful attitude towards the Christian faith as well as other religions and world views.

Monday to Thursday. Can be arranged individually, at least once a week. The times are flexible, depending on participant demand.

The minimum age for this voluntary position is 18 years. You are confident in the German language and other school subjects. As this is a volunteer position with refugees, it is necessary to submit an extended certificate of good conduct. There are no costs for this.
