About the volunteering opportunity
Our shared accommodation offers many men traveling alone a temporary home. They often lack social contacts and opportunities to socialize. This is exactly where our men's café comes in: A regular meeting place that creates space for conversation, community and mutual support.
To get this project off the ground, we are looking for a committed host who would like to design this space, welcome guests and create a pleasant atmosphere. Your commitment will help to reduce social isolation and create a meeting place.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.

As a social enterprise, we are active in three areas: advice & support, care & accommodation and encounters & support. Our actions are characterized by the motivation to accompany people on their way to a self-determined life. The aim of all our services and initiatives is to promote participation and independence.
On behalf of the state of Berlin, we operate several shared accommodation facilities for refugees as well as the Berlin Arrival Center. In addition to these accommodation facilities, we initiate social projects that focus on encounters and exchange.
Your commitment
At our various locations, we offer volunteers the opportunity to do meaningful work. Interested? Whether once a month for an hour, several times a month or regularly throughout the week... any sincere social commitment is very welcome at Tamaja.
The opportunities to get involved with us are as diverse as the people we work for. Sponsorships, language tandems, donations in kind, café support, finding accommodation... These are just a few ideas. Get in touch with us and together we will find the right commitment.
