Volunteer painting/art therapy with children 🎨

We, the kbo Children's Center Munich, are part of the clinics of the district of Upper Bavaria (kbo). In our Social Pediatric Center (SPZ) and the Children's Clinic for Social Pediatrics, we diagnose, treat, accompany, care for, support and promote the development of children and adolescents aged 0 - 18 with disabilities, developmental delays, behavioral problems and chronic illnesses.
With our more than 300 qualified experts with specialist knowledge in pediatrics, psychology, psychotherapy, therapy, social pedagogy and curative education, we promote the health of our young and old patients and their families - always with the aim of enabling active and self-determined participation in everyday life.

For our painting therapy at the kbo Children's Center Munich, we are looking for motivated and open-hearted people with experience in dealing with children who need special support in their development - for example with autism, ADHD or a mental disability. Once or twice a month for approx. 2-3 hours in the afternoon, we would like to give our inpatient children the opportunity to express themselves creatively and offer them a protected space for artistic expression and development. We are therefore looking for volunteer art therapists (m/f/d) who enjoy working with children, have a connection to art and want to do something good.

✅ Experience in working with children with disabilities and developmental delays
✅ Enjoy working creatively with colors and, above all, guiding children in the painting process
✅ Educational or socio-pediatric background (desirable)
✅ First experience in artistic instruction and/or art therapy with children
✅ An open, appreciative and warm manner

Approx. 2x a month, approx. 2-3 hours in the afternoon.
