About the volunteering opportunity
Local political activists are increasingly exposed to hostility. We are looking for volunteers for our social media work in order to raise awareness of the issue, prepare news and present our association.
Your Tasks
- Creation of social media posts for LinkedIn or Instagram
- Independent topic research based on our existing strategy through internal and external research and exchange with association members
- Developing different content formats to communicate the expertise of our association members to the outside world
- Designing appealing graphics and content, especially for Instagram
What's needed
Volunteers must be native German speakers.
- Interest in social media content creation, especially for LinkedIn and Instagram
- Experience is not essential, we are happy to pass on our knowledge to you! - Knowledge in the use of Canva or other graphic design tools
- Basic understanding of how social media algorithms work on different platforms or willingness to familiarize yourself with them
- Willingness to research topics independently and prepare content in consultation with the association
- Enthusiasm (and basic understanding) for politics and our liberal, democratic system
- Interest in the topic of preventing hate and violence against local political activists
- Team spirit, communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with people
- Experience with digital applications such as Zoom, Google Drive etc.
- Basic technical equipment: laptop/computer, camera and microphone

Our association offers concrete support for people in local politics against hate and violence, for example through targeted initial information or sensitization workshops. With the support of politicians in the local environment, we work for the preservation and strengthening of our democratic system.
