Volunteering during the summer vacation: Implementation and supervision of leisure activities for children and families in family holiday centers

Our guest houses in Brandenburg and on the Baltic Sea on the Fischland - Darß - Zingst peninsula are located in the middle of beautiful nature parks and offer numerous opportunities for eventful stays. Relaxation and adventure go hand in hand here and one thing is guaranteed - it never gets boring! For our vacation programs in Gussow and at the Zingsthof, we are looking for volunteers who would like to make the summer vacations colorful and varied for and with children.

They lead and carry out elaborate activities/programs for children (without assuming responsibility for supervision). This includes reading Bible stories (aloud), singing and accompanying songs, creative handicrafts with natural materials, accompanying experiments, designing discovery trips in the room and outside on the meadow, in the forest, on the beach and in the garden and planning movie nights. You are also welcome to try out and implement your own ideas.

You must be at least 18 years old for this voluntary position. Good German language skills are also required. As this is an honorary position with a great deal of responsibility, an extended certificate of good conduct is required. There are no costs for this.

Time required: Approx. 4 hours a day, at least one week (7 days)

When: 28.07.- 29.08.2025 at Martas Guesthouse Gussow and 27.07.- 23.08.2025 at Martas Guesthouse Zingst

What we are looking for:  You bring enjoyment and experience in working with children, children's groups and families. Experience in leading activities/programs for children and children's groups is desirable. Empathy and openness to new things, as well as independence and reliability are essential. We particularly welcome volunteers who are close to the Christian faith or are Christians themselves. However, this attitude is not expected.
