About the volunteering opportunity
Do you want to make our work visible and reach more people with exciting and authentic content? As a content creator, you will design creative posts for our social media channels, our website and other digital platforms. You tell stories that touch people, provide information about our projects and ensure that our commitment comes to life online. You can contribute your own ideas, try out formats and thus actively contribute to expanding our reach and gaining new supporters - flexibly and with plenty of room for your creativity.
Your Tasks
- Development and creation of texts, photos, videos and graphics for social media and the web
- Planning and implementing content strategies together with the team
- Support and maintenance of our digital channels
- Monitoring current trends and integrating suitable content
- Collaboration with other volunteers from press, marketing and public relations
- Supporting the documentation and reporting of our association's activities
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Creativity and enjoyment of telling stories (storytelling)
- Experience in dealing with social media and digital media
- Basic knowledge of image and video editing (e.g. with Canva, CapCut or similar tools) desirable, but not a must
- Independent and reliable way of working
- Interest in social issues and commitment to refugees
- Openness to feedback and a desire to work in a team

You should expect to spend around 5 to 15 hours a month on this voluntary work. The timing is flexible and you can do many tasks from home. This makes it easy to combine volunteering with your everyday life.

Leipzig helps Ukraine e.V. is part of an active network for migration and integration assistance in Leipzig and works closely with municipal agencies, associations and private individuals to offer quick and uncomplicated support to Ukrainian refugees. The aim is to promote a self-determined life as well as social participation and cohesion through low-threshold services such as advice and community projects.
