About the volunteering opportunity
Do you enjoy inspiring people and want to actively help expand our team of volunteers? As a volunteer recruiter, you will be responsible for finding new committed volunteers for Leipzig helps Ukraine e.V. and recruiting them for our common cause. You will create appealing job advertisements, use various channels such as social media, flyers and local networks and target people who want to get involved. You use creative ideas and a personal approach to arouse interest and break down inhibitions. In this way, you will play a key role in helping us reach more people and further expand our projects for Ukrainian refugees.
Your Tasks
- Developing and publishing appealing job advertisements and advertising materials
- Using and maintaining various recruitment channels (social media, flyers, local notices, volunteer agencies)
- Approaching and motivating potential volunteers, including via personal networks
- Organizing and holding information events or information stands
- Cooperation with existing volunteers to gain referrals ("helpers looking for helpers")
- Documentation of interested parties and support during the application process
- Supporting the induction and integration of new volunteers
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
- Enthusiasm for voluntary work and enjoyment of contact with people
- Strong communication skills and persuasiveness
- Creativity and initiative in designing advertising materials and campaigns
- Organizational talent and an independent way of working
- Openness to different target groups and empathy for the situation of refugees
- Experience in recruitment or public relations is an advantage, but not a must
- Team spirit and a desire to make a difference together

For this volunteer work, you should expect to spend around 5 to 15 hours a month. The time allocation is flexible and can be easily combined with your everyday life. You can do many tasks on the move or from home

Leipzig helps Ukraine e.V. is part of an active network for migration and integration assistance in Leipzig and works closely with municipal agencies, associations and private individuals to offer quick and uncomplicated support to Ukrainian refugees. The aim is to promote a self-determined life as well as social participation and cohesion through low-threshold services such as advice and community projects.
