Volunteering on Sundays in an intercultural project

Our Kulturbrücke project helps people from abroad to find their way around Berlin better. The focus is on teaching the German language in learning and language cafés, small group lessons and individual tutoring, as well as celebrating parties together, going on excursions and providing support with finding work, accommodation, dealing with the authorities and similar matters - as far as possible.
The participants come from many different countries in Europe and around the world and are of mixed ages.

e.g.
- Support in learning and language cafés when practicing German (no teaching experience required. Good to very good knowledge of German is sufficient - depending on the language group) - also on Sundays from 1-5 p.m. or at other times during the week
- Assistance with the organization and implementation of celebrations and excursions
- other help in shaping and thinking.

The project is part of the Wallotstraße senior citizens' club. As a result, many of the participants are already older, but they are very happy to be joined by younger people. The events usually take place in the seniors' club at Wallotstraße 4. You can reach the seniors' club on foot from Halensee S-Bahn station in about 10-15 minutes or you can take the M19 bus and get off at the Herbertstraße stop in 2 stops.
