About the volunteering opportunity
The Theater in der Engelsburg is the new theater in the west of Frankfurt / Sindlingen. It was founded by the non-profit association "Theater in der Engelsburg Frankfurt e.V.".
It consists of former employees of the Fritz Rémond Theater and new faces who feel a great passion for the theater and are highly motivated to successfully build this future project - and for the most part we do everything on a voluntary basis!
With the Theater in der Engelsburg, we want to build on the tradition of the Fritz Rémond Theater, combine the tried and tested with the modern, and bring a diverse program back to Frankfurt: From classical drama, period plays, crime thrillers, fine comedies, rousing children's and family plays to varied guest performances.
Your Tasks
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed person to take over the press and public relations work of our theater on a voluntary basis as soon as possible.
Your tasks:
- Writing and sending out press releases
- Maintaining and expanding media contacts
- Website support (texts, announcements, simple CMS work if necessary)
- Editorial content for newsletters and print products
- Support with social media communication (e.g. Instagram, Facebook)
- Support and promotion of premieres, projects and events

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Experience in press relations, journalism, communications or PR
- A good feel for language and a passion for writing
- A flair for cultural topics and creative communication
- Ability to work independently and reliably
- Enjoy theater, culture and teamwork

The time can be freely allocated by arrangement. The estimated workload is approx. 4-10 hours / week.
