About the volunteering opportunity
An 86-year-old senior citizen from Berlin is looking for company to explore the city. She lives alone, uses a walking frame and is very interested in art and culture. Support her in rediscovering Berlin and enrich her everyday life with inspiring experiences.
Your Tasks
- Accompany senior citizens on walks through Berlin or to museums and cultural events
- Have interesting conversations
- Give the woman a zest for life
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
- Empathy and sensitivity in dealing with older people
- Patience and interest in the senior's stories and experiences
- Ability to adapt to her needs and preferences and create a pleasant atmosphere for conversation
- Reliability and a willingness to commit regularly
