About the volunteering opportunity
Would you like to volunteer and have a knack for legal issues? We are looking for support in reviewing and optimising our association documents! Our statutes, data protection guidelines and child protection concept have already been drawn up - now we need you to put them through their paces and adapt them if necessary. It is also possible to take on individual subtasks. Become part of our team and help us to be on the safe side legally!
Your Tasks
- Review and, if necessary, amendment of the existing articles of association
- Review and optimisation of data protection documents (GDPR compliance)
- Checking and, if necessary, revising the child protection concept
- Advice on other legal issues in the context of the association
- Documentation of changes and recommendations
- Optional: Support in communicating with authorities or external consultants
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Knowledge of association law, data protection law or related areas of law
- Experience with the creation or review of statutes and association documents is an advantage
- Careful and structured way of working
- Reliability and a sense of responsibility
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with individual topics
- Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
- Legal training (e.g. degree, professional experience) is a plus, but not a must
Time required
For this volunteer work, you should expect to spend around 2 to 5 hours a month. The time allocation is flexible and can be easily combined with your everyday life. You can do many tasks on the move or from home.

Leipzig helps Ukraine e.V. is part of an active network for migration and integration assistance in Leipzig and works closely with municipal agencies, associations and private individuals to offer quick and uncomplicated support to Ukrainian refugees. The aim is to promote a self-determined life as well as social participation and cohesion through low-threshold services such as advice and community projects.
