About the volunteering opportunity
A weekly sewing course for beginners takes place on the premises of the Rollberge district center. The course is open to everyone in the neighborhood free of charge. Here you can learn the basics of sewing and create your own pieces later on in the course.
Your Tasks
- Get beginners excited about sewing and teach them how to use sewing machines and basic techniques.
- Support the participants with advice and assistance in choosing the right material.
- Provide a safe and inspiring environment.
- Motivate and inspire participants to turn their creative visions into reality.
- Take care of the preparation and follow-up of the offer.
- Support and assist with public relations work in connection with the offer.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- You have basic sewing skills and experience with sewing machines.
- Patience and skill in working with children.
- You are bursting with creativity and have a talent for communicating.
- Reliability and regular attendance are a matter of course for you.
- You love to share your knowledge and inspire others.
- We also need an extended certificate of good conduct from you.
