Help in the "Nachbarschaftszentrum Suppenküche Lichtenrade e.V."

The association makes it possible for a free hot meal to be served to people in need on Sundays and for food to be distributed. Volunteers organize the food on Fridays and collect the donations from individual food retailers in our vehicles on Saturdays. From Sunday morning onwards, vegetables are chopped and cooked so that people of all ages can receive their hot meal promptly from 12 noon without having to provide proof of need.

We are urgently looking for helpers for the kitchen. Especially for the 2nd shift from about 1 p.m., when the kitchen has to be cleaned, the dishes done and the rooms mopped. The common meal as a break also falls into this period. There is the possibility of rotation if you like chopping vegetables, for example. Contact with the guests, who do not have to provide written proof of their need, is also possible during this time.

You do not need any special previous knowledge. However, you should be a team player, reliable and willing to learn, as we are subject to the regulations of the health authorities. All appointments take place by arrangement. There is also an individual induction.
