About the volunteering opportunity
Our dogs don't just need care and love - they need a strong team working for them. To help us further our mission, we are looking for you as a volunteer recruitment coordinator. You will play a key role: you will ensure that all of our association's teams are well staffed, that bottlenecks are quickly resolved and that new motivated helpers arrive exactly where they are needed.
Your Tasks
- working closely with the Executive Board and department heads to identify current and future volunteer needs
- creating and publishing appealing volunteer calls on volunteer portals (e.g. Vostel) and social media channels
- Initial contact with interested parties, including video calls to introduce our association and areas of responsibility
- Matching new volunteers to the teams and supporting them until they are trained (in close cooperation with the Executive Board & our teams)
- Continuous maintenance and expansion of our volunteer network
- Transparent communication in the internal volunteer WhatsApp chat about open roles and new team members
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You need advanced German language skills for this volunteering opportunity.
- Enjoy communicating with people and have a good sense of their strengths
- A talent for organization and structured work
- Creativity in the formulation and distribution of volunteer appeals
- Openness and empathy in dealing with new helpers
- Team spirit and the ability to coordinate between different groups

Your work ensures that bottlenecks are identified early on, new helpers are integrated quickly and our network is constantly growing. You are the link between interested parties and the teams - and therefore one of the most important building blocks of our success.
We work completely digitally (laptop & WhatsApp) - from all parts of Germany (and sometimes from abroad), so it's perfect for anyone who wants to get involved regardless of location.

We are a small 2017 founded and registered animal welfare association with the focus to place dogs from a shelter in Croatia to Germany.
We work together with the Shelter Prijatelji in Cakovec, Croatia and have set ourselves the goal to find a nice home for as many dogs as possible and to make their lives worth living again.
