About the volunteering opportunity
Do you love exercise in the fresh air and good company? Then join our DRK walking group through Dresden!
Our DRK walking group consists of senior citizens aged 60+ who meet twice a month for short walks in the Dresden city area. The routes are around 5 kilometers long and are covered at a moderate pace. To ensure that everyone feels well looked after, each walk is led by two people. We are now looking to strengthen this team.
Your Tasks
- Accompanying the group on short hikes in the Dresden city area
- Planning and carrying out the hikes in a team with a second leader
- Participation in a pre-hike as preparation
- Contact person for the participants during the hike
- Supporting the safe and enjoyable execution of the meetings
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
For this task we are looking for people
- who enjoy being active in nature
- who are reliable and responsible
- who enjoy being out and about with senior citizens
- who would like to prepare short tours together with another person
- who keep an eye on the well-being of the participants, even on short routes
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 4 hours per month.
On weekdays, during the day
- From now - but no later than January 1, 2026
- Regularly twice a month: once for the pre-hike and once for the actual hike
- We agree the exact dates together as a team
