About the volunteering opportunity
Local politicians are increasingly exposed to hostility. For our commitment against hate and violence, we are looking for volunteers for the design and further development of our newsletter to raise awareness of the topic, prepare news and present our association. We communicate with local politicians, partner organizations and civil society.
Your Tasks
Activity
- Brainstorming and preparing the content of our regular newsletter, in coordination with the volunteers of our various working groups
- Creating and sending the newsletter with our email program MailChimp (if interested)
- Optimization and further development of the newsletter
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
As we mainly work together digitally and use tools such as Slack, Zoom and Google Workspace, a PC/notebook with a working camera and microphone is a mandatory requirement.
What you should bring with you
- Interest in public relations and email creation, possibly already with some experience in this area
- Experience with digital applications such as Zoom, Google Drive etc.
- Basic technical equipment: camera and microphone
- Desirable, but not a requirement: Experience with MailChimp or a similar program
- German language skills level C1 or higher
- Enthusiasm (and basic understanding) for politics and our free, democratic system
- Interest in the prevention of hate and violence against local political activists
- Team spirit, communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with people

Our association offers concrete support for people in local politics against hate and violence, for example through targeted initial information or sensitization workshops. With the support of politicians in the local environment, we work for the preservation and strengthening of our democratic system.
