About the volunteering opportunity

Our Assistance with Living service provides volunteer assistants to adults with disabilities who live independently - whether alone, as a couple or in an (inclusive) shared flat.

Your Tasks

The content and scope of each individual assistance is always based on the individual needs and wishes of the person with a disability.

The commitment includes various activities and practical everyday assistance such as support with shopping, cooking or tidying up, accompanying to (medical) appointments or support with leisure activities.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
  • Previous nursing or medical experience can be an advantage, but is not a must
  • A driver's license (class B) can be an advantage, but is not a must

We accompany, advise, support and encourage people with disabilities and their relatives in the city and district of Würzburg in various phases and areas of life. We include the Christophorus School with a pre-school facility and curative day care center, the Büro für Leichte Sprache (Office for easy language) and the inclusive day care center Haus am Bach and the Ambulante Dienste (outpatient services) with the areas of assistance with living, family support services and vacation & leisure.
